Last week we went to Rome with school. Early Monday morning we took the train Freccia Argenta and left Trieste. The train arrived to Rome Termini at midday and as soon as possible we went to the hotel Dina to leave our bags and suitcases in rooms. In the afternoon we saw the Colosseum, which is a huge structure built by Romans. After we saw Circo Massimo and La Bocca della Verita and Palazzo Vittoriano. In the evening we went to eat in a restaurant and then returned to our hotel. I was in a room with Leonardo, Davide and Alessandro. The first night in the hotel we were watching the Emigratis.

On the second day we went to see the city of Vatican. We took the metro and this was the first time I took it. The city of Vatican was great, and so was the St. Peter´s Basilica. I had climbed the cupola and admired the beauty of the city around me. In the afternoon we visited the museum of Vatican and then the Sistine Chapel decorated by famous Michelangelo Bonarotti´s frescoes. In the evening we went to the hotel. There I met Spanish students.

On the third day saw the ruins of the Roman Forum, il Milite Ignoto, Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain. After that we tasted the Venchi ice-cream and went to buy the jersey of the football club of Roma.

On the day before last we went with the bus out of Rome to see a planetary and observatory of Rome. We heard many interesting things about astronomy, planets and stories of the universe we had never heard before. In the afternoon we went on a walk around the centre. There I visited the Official store of A.S. ROMA and licked tasty ice-cream with friends. On the last night in the hotel we had a bit of fun.

On the last day we visited the Catacombs of St. Callixtus. I liked the guide, because he was speaking very well. The catacombs were very dark. In the afternoon I went to the Hard Rock Cafe to buy a T - shirt for my mother and then when I was out of money I sadly sat on the train and return to Trieste.

I think this journey was one of the best I have ever done, because I had good friends and good time with them in an unforgettable city with a beautiful weather.
